It is well known among those in law enforcement as well as the TSCM community that there are a number of people throughout society who seem to be losing their grip on reality. They seem to confuse common everyday occurrences and mere coincidences with  deliberate highly sophisticated and complex personal attacks. At first glance, a single complaint may appear as a possibility, but once you hear more about the person’s concerns, some things just don’t seem to fit anymore. The case below may give an idea of the extent of some people’s paranoia.

A New York attorney is suing actors Ben Affleck and Matt Damon. They are being accused of stalking and of bugging her home and then using private details of her life in their movies as well as in Saturday Night Live skits. Her complaints read like an SNL skit.

Court documents indicate that she repeatedly watched “Maid in Manhattan” (2002) while recovering from an injury incurred in 2002. The attorney claims she realized the similarities between her life and Lopez’s character after watching the movie. The suit also contends that the movie “Gone Girl” reflected events and dialogue from her life as did several other shows and films.

“She claims that work released in 2023 includes art which contains a reproduction of her ‘nude’, which she identified by a scar which is a ‘distinguishing characteristic’ of hers,” according to the Daily Mail. “Her lawsuit states she saw similarities in her life on SNL and Mob Wives between 2010 to 2011.”

The unidentified attorney was notably injured in a car accident that took place in 1985. She reportedly suffers from short-term memory loss and physical limitations.

“She claims that patterns in the works include characters with her first name or similar, and who are similar to her in appearance – ‘dark bobbed or shoulder length hair with bangs, are gap-toothed, and wear candy-cane colors,’” the Daily Mail wrote.

“The Weinstein Company is accused of repeatedly using her identity in

  • The Details (2011)
  • Spy Kids 4-D: All the Time in the World (2011)
  • Scream 4 (2011)
  • The Railway Man (2013)
  • The Butler (2013)
  • St. Vincent (2014)
  • Big Eyes (2014)
  • Snowpiercer (2014)
  • Bad Santa 2 (2016)
  • Amityville Awakening (2017)”

She claims that Affleck and Lopez mirrored her life along with numerous other accusations:

  • Affleck and Lopez bought a home in Savannah, Georgia after she applied for a job there.
  • Lopez bought a dog and a horse that she wanted.
  • She tried on clothes that were too tight before Lopez performed “Tight Pants” on The Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon.
  • She claims Damon quoted her at MIT.
  • Affleck adopted a Husky and wore a t-shirt with pyramids on it after she said she wanted to adopt a rescue dog and travel to the pyramids.
  • She contends that Ben Affleck was “watching her” in a laundromat in Atlantic City.
  • She claims that Damon was seeing her dentist in 2009 and that a number of his projects were filmed near her home the next year.
  • The attorney accuses Affleck of stalking her in 2004 and 2005 and she has spotted Affleck and Damon in her vicinity since then.

The attorney says she has been left with “severe emotional distress” after being portrayed as “a prostitute, stripper, promiscuous, drug addict” and accused the group of celebrities of “disclosing embarrassing facts.”

The lawsuit states that she is in fear for her life after hearing “snitches get stitches” numerous times. She also fears being kidnapped, raped, and murdered.

The woman is asking for undisclosed compensatory damages. A similar suit filed by the attorney was dismissed in 2023.
